In a unexpected crossover event that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of forbidden rituals and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The plot features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine group.
The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Material
Players who finish the mission will acquire an exclusive katana alongside numerous objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
