The assault resulted in the partial closure of the CTA tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
